Utah title, and repossession requirements:

Utah Repossession Title State: Repossessor License and Repossessor Registration information refer to: Utah Repossession Motor Vehicle Division, 210 North 1950 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84134. Tel.: (801) 297-7780. Fee for search of records: 50¢. 

Utah Repossession Recording: Must be recorded in county where mortgagor resides; if non-resident, in county where the parties were located at time of execution of document. Uniform Commercial Code adopted January, 1966. 

Utah Repossession Recovery: Peaceful repossession permitted. 

Utah Repossession Redemption: No provisions. 

Utah Repossession Deficiency: Suit for price bars repossession; however, may be allowed after deficiency is established after sale. 

Special Utah Repossession Motor Vehicle Provisions: Required filing of a notarized copy of the instrument together with certificate issued last. 

Utah Repossession Documents Required to Transfer Ownership of Motor Vehicle: Transfer of ownership by affidavit of repossession may be accomplished only if a Utah Repossession lien has been recorded on the outstanding title. The following must be submitted: (a) Outstanding certificate of title, with all Utah Repossession liens properly released. (b) An approved affidavit of repossession, from the State of Utah or another state, properly filled in and signed by the lien holder recorded on the certificate of title. 

Utah Repossession Plates: Plates remain with the owner and are transferable to the repossessor.
