Kentucky Repossession Recording: Financing statements are filed with the County Clerk where debtor resides or in Kentucky county where the vehicle is registered. Uniform Commercial Code adopted July, 1960.
Kentucky Repossession Recovery: Peaceful repossession permitted.
Kentucky Repossession Redemption: Allowed any time prior to disposition of the collateral by the lien holder or repossessor.
Kentucky Repossession Deficiency: Permitted after repo sale and if contract so provides. Kentucky has an extremely comprehensive Commercial Code which warrants careful examination in dealing with all Kentucky Repossession matters here.
Special Motor Vehicle Provisions: No provisions.
Kentucky Repossession Documents Required to Transfer Ownership of Motor Vehicle: Certified copy of Security agreement, affidavit of repossession.
Kentucky Repossession Plates: Remain with the vehicle or repossessor.
